I have a few questions for you guys and what would appeal to make the site more fun and hopefully very active.
1. Workouts. Yes/No? I'm open to not having them at all so that it makes entering a breeze. 2. Showing levels. Do we want to follow a similar format as GHF/TW (Grade 5,4,etc) or make it more realistic with simple levels similar to real life showing? 3. OTTB shows. I'm planning on including them anyway, but how many would be interested in purely off-track thoroughbred shows? 4. Training. Would it be of any interest to set up a training system (aka you would have to "train" your horse before he could move up in levels, as opposed to winning shows and moving up)? 5. Show Occurance. Is twice a month too much or too little? We could always start with twice a month with all training levels included and increase it to 4 times and mix up the levels like at GHF/TW, as the demand goes up.
I will add more as I think of them/you guys ask them, so please, ask away and give me as much input as possible!

1) The only way I probably have time to do stuff here right now is by not having workouts 2) Don't know enough about irl showing to really have an answer for this xD I'm willing to learn a new system though if you think it would be better 3) My only horses will probably by OTTBs, but I guess I don't care if the shows are specific to them or mixed. 4) This would be cool in lieu of workouts, 'cause it still gives you a chance to write with them. 5) I think that's a good place to start while we figure things out

Yay Kennykins joined!
Oooo I didn't even think about having training a possibility instead of workouts *evil plots occurring in head* It might be cool to come up with a board that evaluates if your horse can move up. It would be determined on the quality (maybe) and amount of rping you have done with your horse to move him up, as well as maybe taking shows they have been entered in, into account.
Note to self: Training levels determined by rp training amount and posts w/ application to board for horse to move up a level.

Right. So that way it wouldn't have a standing on how the shows are being judged, but it will determine whether or not the horse gets to move up.

1. I vote no workouts, BUT it would be cool to RP some cross country practice and gallops and such to make it more fun. That being said I think we should just keep them for fun or reference, and not count them as required workouts. 2. I love following real life showing styles, since I am an eventer in rl. That being said, if no one has real life show experience then maybe just keep it as 'grades' like GHF/TW. 3. Doesn't matter, most of mine will be OTTB's either way! 4. Basically what Kenny said xD 5. Two or three times a month should be sufficient. If you want to make it like rl, my horse only goes to two shows, max four per month. So two or three times would be pretty good.

1. No, I think people will find it more manageable without workouts. 2. I don't really mind. Showing levels would be cool, but I am open to what everyone else thinks. 3. I will have OTTBs, among other horses. I think to start with mixed shows would be better, until we have more numbers for filling classes. 4. Mixed feelings on this one, really. I think the idea is interesting, if worked correctly. Otherwise it could end up favoring people with more time/less horses. 5. I'd say 2-3 a month, just as a guidelines.

Okay, here's what I've gotten out of your guy's response:
1. No workouts. This is fine with me, but I will have to come up with a solid way to judge shows. 2. Come up with an easy, navigatable way to set up levels of showing that will be similar to GHF/TW. 3. OTTB shows are a go. I'll start off with more general classes to start until we have enough tbs to fill out their own classes. 4. Sounds like a unianimous "go" to try out this training system. I have a good feeling it will be a handy way to level-up horses without relying too heavily on show experience. 5. I will be sticking with 2-3 shows a month to keep it realistic (or just until we have enough horses we have to make more shows)
Sound good?? I'll get started with some more work
